Travel Grants for MASS 2011

We are pleased to announce that IEEE MASS 2011 will provide a limited number of travel grants up to $600 to student authors and few junior faculty members who have papers in MASS. Thanks are due to the generosity of the IEEE Technical Committee on Distributed Processing and Technical Committee on Simulation.

Applications must be submitted by e-mail to the MASS Steering Committee Chair, Dr. Dharma Agrawal, E-mail: dharmaagrawal@gmail.com by August 19, 2011 electronically as a single integrated document. Award notifications will be sent out by September 2, 2011. Applicants should provide a one page statement concerning the expected benefits of attending the conference, the title of papers to be presented along with the list of authors, and reasons why support is needed. The award is limited to one author per paper and priority will be given to junior researchers.

Each awardee is required to register for the conference. Travel by award recipient awardees must submit all reimbursement requests by October 28, 2011 including original receipts and submit them electronically as a single pdf document.

Student Awards for MASS 2011

We are pleased to announce that IEEE MASS 2011 will provide 2 student awards. The first prize is 600 euros and the second prize is 400 euros. Thanks are due to the generosity of the IEEE Spain Section.

Note that a registration at student rate is not valid to cover mandatory author registration for each paper. Student registration is valid as author registration, but only if it is paid at regular rate (not at student rate).

The rules are:

• The first author must be a student
• The student must be registered and must present the paper.
• They will be awarded in the Banquet dinner.
